I am delighted that these two paintings have been selected for this year's New Light Prize Exhibition. The exhibition features approximately 90 pieces of work from 72 of the most talented artists who were born, live, or have studied in one of the historical counties of the North of England, and gives a particularly exciting insight into contemporary Northern art. It opens at the Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle on 18th November, where it will remain until 18th February next year. From 10th March - 2nd June next year it will be at the Huddersfield Art Gallery. From 25th - 30th June it will be at The Bankside Gallery, London. It's final showing will be at the Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery, Carlisle from 13th October 2018 - 27th January 2019. Here are some more recently completed paintings from the studio. The painting, "New Mills, Marsden", was sold before I had completed it and is now in its new home. "The Factory Gates" is another painting of New Mills, Marsden from a different viewpoint. I would love to be able to get inside these buildings to work, but unfortunately the owners say that this is not possible as it is too dangerous.

“Townscape, Birstall” is my latest commissioned painting. It’s full of nostalgia for me as I used to walk down the road to the right of the painting on my way to school every morning from the age of 4, so I have many memories attached to this scene. I am currently working on another painting of Birstall as a partner to this one.

If you would like to see any available work please don't hesitate to contact me at the studio. Contact details on the website.
